Gerald Brock, 78, of Tiffin, died at 12:12 p.m., Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at Tiffin Mercy Hospital.

Gerald was born Aug. 19, 1934, in Toledo, to the late George and Maude (Sexton) Brock. He married Angeline Louise (Gaietto) Aug. 22, 1953, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tiffin and she survives.

Survivors include his 6 children, Michael Brock of Tiffin, Lee (Sheila) Brock of McComb, Kathleen (Michael) Erwin of Fairfield, Calif., Samuel (Barbara) Brock of Tiffin, Dennis (Mary) Brock of Lima, Randy Brock of Tiffin; 15 grandchildren, Nieca Wescott, Jennifer Schlabach, Mindi Toon, Jerrtt Brock, Erin, Brendan, Brett, Nick Erwin, Craig, Jason Risner, Tasha Brock, Brittany, Bradley, Bailey and Brenton Brock, 12 great-grandchildren, Braden, Cylias, David, Zella, Lillieghan Wescott, Kailah Toon, Laci Schlabach, Breama Brock, Kylee Cornett, Elijha, Zack, Desira

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents; three great-grandchildren, McKeena Risner, Brandon Brock and Hayliegh Wescott; two brothers, Pete and Don Brock; and a sister, Dorothy Szymanowski.

Gerald worked as a self-employed timber buyer for many years. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tiffin, Tiffin Eagles, an avid card player and enjoyed fishing, horse racing and spending time with the grandchildren. Gerald was a 1952 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Thursday Jan. 3, 2013, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tiffin with the Rev. Gary Walters officiating. A rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to the mass.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, at Engle-Shook Funeral Home and Crematory 135 N. Washington St., Tiffin. Burial will be at the parish cemetery at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to Volunteer's of America Autumnwood Care Center.
