John Richard Snell, 58, of Tiffin, passed away Monday morning, Dec. 24, 2012, at his residence.
John was born Sept. 12, 1954, in Tiffin, to the late Joseph Snell III and Margaret Ellen (Anders) Snell.
Survivors include his brother, Joseph Snell IV of Reidsville, N.C.; sister, Gerry L. (Snell) Ringle of Liberty, Ind.; nieces and nephews; and a grand-niece and grand-nephew. He also is survived by his Miami University brothers, Boater, Brent, Deacon, Doc and Evil; as well as, his best friend, Barb Wessinger (who was far from him but always close to him as a good friend); and caregivers and friends, Cindy and Jamie Oberholtzer.
John was a building trades journeyman plumber and steamfitter for Local 50 in Toledo, initiated Jan. 16, 1979. He was a 1972 graduate of Columbian High School and a 1976 graduate of Miami (Oxford, Ohio) University with a bachelor's degree in business administration.
Visitation for family and friends will be 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at Engle-Shook Funeral Home and Crematory, 135 N. Washington St., Tiffin, OH 44883, (419) 447-1221.
Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31, at Seneca Memory Gardens, rural Tiffin.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
