Daniel-led Tigers cruise

ATTICA - Ashton Daniel led everyone with 20 points and Seneca East's defense allowed only one Danbury player to score more than eight Thursday as the Tigers claimed a 50-36 win.

Daniel added seven rebounds for the Tigers, Hannah Hahler tossed in 10 points and Emily Depinet hauled in eight boards.

Erin Lavelle's 11 points topped Danbury and Meghan Stephens backed her with eight.

Graboski unloads on River Valley

UPPER SANDUSKY - Taylor Graboski owned the first half and nearly matched River Valley's final scoring output Thursday, fueling Upper Sandusky's 57-34 domination.

Graboski poured in 29 points in the first half, scoring all put five of her team's 18 points in the first quarter and adding 16 more in the second as the Rams eased out to a 38-14 lead at the break.

She also hauled in 12 rebounds and blocked three shots.

Jorden Born backed her with eight points and eight rebounds, and Allison Snyder dished seven assists.

Katy Keene's 11 points led the way for the Vikings, and Abby Guinther netted nine.

Jackets snap back from sluggish first quarter

NEW RIEGEL - New Riegel stormed back in the second quarter, then left no doubt in the third Thursday in a 54-32 thrashing of Riverdale.

The Blue Jackets (9-1) used a 19-5 scoring run in the second period to forge a come-from-behind 28-19 halftime lead before shutting out Riverdale 16-0 in the third.

Kara Scherger scored half of her game-high 16 points in the third quarter for New Riegel, Taylor Kirian netted 14 overall and Abby Cassidy ended with 11.

Taylor Arbogast backed them with seven rebounds and five steals, Lauren Ladd had six boards and five steals, Kirian grabbed six rebounds and Scherger dished three assists.

Kristen Evans tossed in 11 points for the Falcons (5-4) and Jordyn Wright had 10. Ashlyn Walter and Tiffany Wright grabbed six rebounds each.

Wildcats rip through SW boys

MILLER CITY - Miller City steamrolled St. Wendelin, 73-41 Thursday, forcing 33 turnovers in the process.

Gabe Walters led the Mohawks in the loss with eight points, while Matt Decker had seven points and 10 rebounds.

Nick Root also scored seven points against the Wildcats.
