TC thunders to sweep

Columbian dominated both halves of a dual Saturday with Willard, with the girls winning 72-19 and the boys triumphing 64-7.

Sisters Sarah and Rachel Hudacek sparked TC's girls.

Both swam legs on the victorious 200 medley relay (2:05.46) and 200 free relay (1:53.15), while each claimed two individual wins.

Sarah Hudacek captured the 200 IM (2:22.79) and 500 free (5:47.91), and Rachel Hudacek took the 50 free (26.56) and 100 free (1:02.85).

Lindsay Young and Natalie Howard joined them on both relays.

Howard also captured the 100 back (1:08.97) and Jordan Jarrett took the 200 free (2:23.71). Abby Burton, Lydia Vallery, Megan Murphy and Jarrett claimed the 400 free relay (4:37.17).

Adam Young's wins in the 500 free (5:46.87) and 100 back (1:08.98) paced the Tornadoes in the boys meet.

Other individual wins for TC came from Isaac Lewis in the 100 free (58.53), Chris Gates in the 200 free (1:57.46) and Nate Ramsdell in the 200 IM (2:26.44).

The Tornadoes also took the 200 free relay (1:42.95), 200 medley relay (1:54.39) and 400 free relay (4:22.29).

Gates, Lewis, Justin Schwartz and Braden Kuhn swam the 200 free relay.

Ramsdell, Kuhn, Gates and Lewis swam the 200 medley relay.

Jacob English, Ramsdell, Schwartz and Young swam the 400 free relay.

Harris swims into Calvert recordbook

FREMONT - Corinne Harris lowered the school record and set the meet record in the 100 free Saturday to lead Calvert's efforts at the Fremont St. Joe Catholic Invitational.

Harris won the 100 free in 56.79 seconds to help the Senecas end ninth in the meet.

She also claimed the 200 IM (2:22.21) for Calvert.

Katie Tiell added seconds in the 50 free (27.43) and 500 free (5:59.1).
