Bloomville OKs SUV sale

December 23, 2012
By Dan McElhatten - Correspondent , The Advertiser-Tribune

BLOOMVILLE - Bloomville council met for the last meeting of 2012 Wednesday evening. Village clerk/treasurer Janis Weasner reported the used Chevrolet Blazer being sold by the village received a high bid of $625. Council approved the bid.

Street superintendent Rick Dentinger gave council a review of the lining characteristics for the village pool renovation. He said the diving board could not be fabricated.

A joint-aid agreement for police assistance was discussed. Bloomville, Attica and Republic entered into an agreement in 2007 to provide mutual aid, however Republic dropped its part due to police personnel issues. Attica's part expires in 2013. Village solicitor Tim Hoover gave the agreement a cursory review and saw no problems other than some misspelling of names. It will be further reviewed and drafted later as an ordinance.

In other business:

Council approved the final pay ordinance of 2012.

The Senior Center is to be closed the next two Tuesdays.

Date for first council meeting of 2013 to be

determined.
