Science Days offer youth

chance to explore

The Franciscan Earth Literacy Center on St. Francis Community campus in Tiffin is to offer Science Days for children ages 5-10.

"We explore new areas of science and continue further studies in areas we explored last year," said Sister Shirley Shafranek, FELC educator. "Children may attend as many as they want."

The next program is set for 8 a.m.-noon Jan. 2-4. The Minicamp Astronomy Solar System will give children an opportunity to learn about the solar system and beyond, Shafranek said.

The programs are to be led by Shafranek. For information or to register, call (419) 448-7485 or email sshafranek@felctiffin.org. This program's cost is $30.

Programs are partially sponsored by Time Warner Cable.
