Prep Roundup: Blue Devils rout Raiders to maintain perfect mark

CAREY - Unbeaten Carey owned the first half Friday en route to an 88-46 Midland Athletic League win over Lakota.

The Blue Devils (6-0, 3-0 MAL) led 25-6 at the first stop and 53-15 by halftime.

Zach Boes led the charge with 25 points and six rebounds, and Jared Wentling scored 22 points.

The Raiders (2-5, 0-3) got 12 points from Kody Brewer, 10 from Colin Timmons and a combined 17 from Nate Ray (9) and Josh Kirkpatrick (8).

US rolls into win column

UPPER SANDUSKY - Two Upper Sandusky players combined for 28 points, and the rest teamed up for more than what was needed Friday in a 58-19 domination of North Central Conference foe Lucas.

Joe Reile scored 15 points and Cody Clifford added 13 for the Rams (1-3, 1-1), who picked up their first win.

The other eight Rams each scored at least two points, with Trent Howard tossing in eight in and Carson Mittermaier adding eight.

Mittermaier and Cory Miller also each grabbed five rebounds and Howard tallied four assists and four steals.

Jay Baldridge's six points and Aaron Bays' four rebounds topped the winless Cubs (0-6, 0-2).

Jackets double up SW

FOSTORIA - St. Wendelin kept it competitive for the first quarter but lost steam quick as New Riegel sailed to a 76-38 victory.

New Riegel (6-1, 3-0) led 21-11 after the first quarter but ended up leading 42-18 at the half.

Brandyn Reinhart registered a double-double, scoring 20 points and grabbing 15 rebounds.

Korey Williams chipped in 18 points while Josh Nye had four steals.

Nick Schumaker's 14 points paced the Mohawks (2-5, 1-2).
