Barbara Scherger and Brian Brickner exchanged wedding vows Friday, Aug. 10, 2012, at Sts. Patrick and Andrew Catholic Church, Liberty Township. The Rev. Tim Kummerer was officiant during the double-ring Catholic nuptial Mass. A reception followed at Meadowbrook Park Ballroom, Bascom.
The bride is the daughter of Patrick and Judy Scherger of rural Tiffin.
The groom is the son of Jim and Jeannie Brickner of rural Tiffin.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a strapless, ivory chiffon gown with a sweetheart neckline embellished with silver embroidery, pearls, sequins, crystals and bugle beads. The gown, embellished with appliques, had a corset back, slim A-line skirt and chapel-length train. She wore a single-tier, ivory veil accented with a delicate floral pattern in silver embroidery, silver sequins and bugle beads. She carried an arm-length bouquet of yellow roses, white daisies and red carnations accented with white baby's breath.
Catherine Kelbley of Fostoria was her sister's matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Michelle Scherger of Stow and Jessica Scherger of Kansas, sisters-in-law of the bride, and Christy Clady of Republic, friend of the bride. They wore claret satin, floor-length dresses featuring modified sweetheart necklines and asymmetrically draped, fitted waists. They carried arm-length bouquets of yellow gladiolas, white daisies and red carnations accented with white baby's breath and small purple flowers.
Kevin Brickner of Bascom was his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Steven Scherger of Stow and Michael Scherger of Kansas, brothers of the bride, and Keith Brickner of Findlay, brother of the groom.
The bride is an occupational therapy assistant for HCR ManorCare, Marion. She is a 2000 graduate of Lakota High School and graduated from The Ohio State University in 2004 and from Owens Community College in 2012.
The groom graduated from Hopewell-Loudon High School in 2000. He is a truck driver for Kalmbach Feeds, Upper Sandusky.
The couple's mothers and the bridesmaids honored the bride with a shower in May 2012 at St. Andrew's schoolhouse.
A rehearsal dinner was at Fort Ball Pizza Palace, Tiffin.
After a honeymoon trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., the newlyweds reside at 6700 W. CR 59, McCutchenville.
