Tiffin-based Taiho Corp. of America announced plans Tuesday to create 35 jobs with a capital investment of $13 million for development of a new production line.
Taiho is one of the three new projects awarded grants through Regional Growth Partnership and Jobs Ohio. The automotive parts manufacturer received a Jobs Creation Tax Credit and a Business Investment Grant from the state.
RGP worked closely with Seneca Industrial Economic Development Corp. in facilitating the project.
Taiho is to start its expansion this winter, and it is expected to be completed in July, said SIEDC President and CEO Rich Focht. The company is to add 40,000 square feet to its existing building.
Focht said Taiho picked up new business and is to produce new product.
