Elizabeth-Mae ‘Bettie’ Hunter

Elizabeth-Mae "Bettie" Alice Bibber Hite Hunter, 70, passed away peacefully Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012, at Twilight Gardens, Norwalk.

Bettie was born July 6, 1942, in South Harpswell, Maine, to William I. and Barbara Bibber.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Hunter of Attica; four daughters, Jackie Ohms of Marion, Barbara Passeno of Westerville and Darlene Moore and Chris Robison, both of Tiffin; four stepchildren, Bruce Hite of Norwalk, Steve Hite of Olena and Elizabeth Gilbert and Lori Hite, both of Norwalk; 21 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Billy Bibber; a son-in-law, Christopher Passeno; and three grandchildren, Angie Krick, Nicole Moore and Christopher Hite.

Bettie loved visiting friends and family back home in Maine, her flower gardens and, of course, large family gatherings with her grandchildren.

Her funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at Lindsey-Foos-Kocher Funeral Service, 295 W. Tiffin St., Attica. The family would like to invite friends and family directly following the service to Attica Methodist Church.

Friends may call 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
