A. Louise Russell, 87, of Upper Sandusky, died at 11:22 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, at Wyandot Memorial Hospital under the care of Hospice of Wyandot County.
She was born Sept. 23, 1925, in Dunquat, to Grover W. and Mamie (Hill) Traxler. She married O. Charles Russell Feb. 22, 1947, and he preceded her in death.
She is survived by a daughter, Diane (James) Groth of Findlay; two grandchildren, Charles (Kim) Groth and Brad (Andra) Russell Ulrich; three great-grandchildren; and three sisters-in-law, Gilda Traxler of Tiffin and Martha Russell and Mildred Binau, both of Upper Sandusky.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Nelson Traxler, Grover Traxler Jr. and Dale Traxler; and four sisters, Kate Williams, Corlene Lambrite, Agnes Larick and Mary Fawcett.
Mrs. Russell was employed by the former Koehler Paint Store, Hickory Grove Golf Course and Elks Lodge BPOE No. 83. She retired from the laundry department at the former Wyandot Manor Nursing Home. She was a former member of Eagles Club No. 2184 and a member of the Fireman's Ladies Auxiliary. Her hobbies were baking, making crafts and crocheting, especially baby items.
Her funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at Bringman Clark Funeral Home, Upper Sandusky, with Pastor Jackie Underhill officiating. A private interment service will follow.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10, at the funeral home.
