Hazel Koechley, 97, of Bellevue, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at The Willows at Bellevue.
She was born Jan. 11, 1915, in Ithica, N.Y., to Frances and Florence Hollenbeck. In 1935, she married Raymond Koechley in Fremont and he preceded her in death April 12, 1994.
Hazel was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, the Altar Rosary Society and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed antiquing, cooking, sewing, bowling, baking, but most importantly being a mother.
She is survived by two sons, James of Chagrin Falls and John (Kimberly) of Geneva, Ill.; two daughters, Janet (Edwin) Roberts of Lake Placid, Fla., and Joanne (Terry) McClintock of St. Charles, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter-in-law, Merriann Koechley.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue, where a rosary service will be at 4 p.m.
Her funeral Mass is 11 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Church, 231 E. Center St., Bellevue. Burial will follow at Bellevue Catholic Cemetery.
