Mary L. Arbogast Rowe, 92, of Ocean Shores, Wash., and formerly Tiffin, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at Harbor Point Shores, Ocean Shores, Wash.
She was born Jan. 28, 1920, in Tiffin, to Oscar Boyd and Lael (Henninger) Fausnaugh. She married Loris Arbogast Jan. 31, 1942, and he died in 1946. She later married Kenneth Rowe Sept. 15, 1958, and he also preceded her in death in 1978.
Survivors include a son, Harold (Karen) Arbogast of Ocean Shores; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Virgil (Adah) Fausnaugh of Circleville.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Jannette Arbogast Homler in 2007; a son, Maurice Arbogast; and a brother, Carroll Fausnaugh.
Mrs. Rowe worked as a nurse's aide at Hawthorne State Hospital, Cleveland, and Tiffin Developmental Center, retiring in 1983.
She was a 1939 graduate of Green Springs High School. She was a member of St. Jacobs United Church of Christ, Republic, the Women's Guild and sang in the church choir. She also was a member of Union Grange and a volunteer at Fairhaven Community, Upper Sandusky, and the Sharing Kitchen in Tiffin.
Her funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at St. Jacobs United Church of Christ, CR 38, north of Republic, with the Rev. Mark Booster officiating. Burial will follow at St. Jacob's Cemetery, Republic.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10, at Lindsey-Olds Funeral Home, 3085 S. SR 19, Bloomville.
