Sandusky venue plans productions

SANDUSKY - Those looking for holiday entertainment have five options available this month at Sandusky State Theatre, 107 Columbus Ave., Sandusky.

Holiday Pops with Lynne Wintersteller is planned 7 p.m. Sunday.

Hear the sounds of the season with the Firelands Symphony, Broadway star Lynne Wintersteller and high school choruses.

Tickets are $13-$30.

"Gift of the Maji" is to be staged at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Can a memorable Christmas be made with $1.87? Getting caught up in the commercialism of Christmas, Della and Jim begin to lose sight of the true joy of gift giving and friendship. In this classic tale, based on the short story by O. Henry, a young couple is depicted on their selfless journey to make each other's holiday dreams come true.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children.

"We Need a Little Christmas," a holiday dinner show, is at noon Wednesday.

Enjoy a meal in the State Room and listen to holiday music by recording artist Raine Austen.

Dinner and show combo tickets are $33 for adults and $21 for students.

"Joy Joy: A Christmas Celebration" is to bring back Austen for a concert at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 15.

For the Christmas season, Austen is reunited with her Christian choral group, Resounding Joy. She also welcomes guest singer Nick Costa, sax player David Millen and pianist David Strieter.

Show-only tickets are $15-$31, while the dinner and show packages range from $30-$49.

"A Christmas Story" comes alive on stage at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 20-22.

In this classic story, Ralphie has to convince his parents, teachers and Santa a Red Ryder BB gun really is the perfect gift for a child in the 1940s.

Show-only tickets are $18-$21 for adults and $12 for students. The dinner and show package is $36-$39 for adults and $30 for students.
