Lakota routs Bettsville

KANSAS - It was one of those nights where everything went Lakota's way. Offensively, defensively and rebounding, the Raiders ruled the night beating Bettsville 97-6.

It was a balanced attack leading Lakota with Colin Timmons leading the way with 16 points. Nathan Ray chipped in 15 while Kody Brewer and Spencer King each tallied 12.

Twelve Raiders contributed points in the game.

Defensively, Lakota held Bettsville without a field goal in the first half as they built a 56-2 lead at the break. The Raiders came up with 31 steals on the night.

Slow start dooms Blue Jackets

BUCYRUS - A rough first quarter Saturday afternoon doomed New Riegel. The Blue Jackets shot 0-11 from the field and fell behind Wynford 14-2. New Riegel (3-1) responded well the rest of the game, but was unable to climb out of the hole, falling to the Royals 55-47.

Three Blue Jackets scored in double figures led by Kara Scherger with 12 points. Abby Cassidy added 11 while Taylor Arbogast chipped in 12.

Arbogast and Lauren Ladd were tops on the glass, each with six rebounds. Scherger added five steals and three assists while Cassidy dished out a team-high four assists.

Wynford (3-0) was led by Meghan Harper with 13 points. Karlee Schiefer chipped in 12.
