Thanks to first, and second, responders
Twice, tragedy struck with fatal results Tuesday. Each time, disaster devastated a family of five. And twice, people in our community responded to the calamity.
The first responders, of course, were fire fighters, paramedics, law enforcement officers and other emergency personnel, including dispatchers.
Next to respond were family members, friends and, often, total strangers moved by compassion to act following the fatal fire and accident. Counselors, clergy and community members ministered to those who are grieving. Funds were established to benefit the families impacted by the events.
Our thanks to all who have helped and will help in this time of need.
