NEW RIEGEL - Not having the required three-quarter majority to pass legislation during their Nov. 20 meeting, New Riegel council members met in special session Tuesday to consider three resolutions.

Council suspended the three-reading rule for three measures and approved the temporary appointment of Mayor Larry Bouillon as liaison to the NBS Joint Fire District in Councilman Les Staib's absence.

They also approved a resolution of support accepting the final copy of the Local Government Innovation Fund, "Roadmap To IT Solutions" study as presented by John Davoli at the previous meeting and the resolution of support approving and authorizing the village to participate in an application for an LGIF loan through the state of Ohio for information technology consolidation.

Council is to meet at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 18.
