Police take reports of vehicle tampering

Tiffin Police Department took about a dozen reports Friday of vehicles being tampered with, according to police reports.

A department spokesman said Friday afternoon no arrests had been made, and the department did not have any suspects.

Police took three reports from people in the 200 block of Jefferson Street Friday morning. Windows were smashed on a man's cars, a van had its driver's side window broken and another vehicle was damaged, according to reports.

Two people in the first block of Gross Street also contacted the police Friday morning. One reported a vehicle was entered overnight and the other reported a window was smashed on a car.

A person in the 100 block of Melmore Street reported Friday morning a window was broken out of a truck overnight and a person in the 200 block of Melmore Street reported Friday morning a windshield was broken out of a vehicle, reports state.

A person in the 400 block of Hedges Street reported early Friday morning a vehicle was entered and a window was broken and a person in the 400 block of Hedges Street reported Friday morning an unlocked vehicle was entered.

Damage to vehicles also was reported in the 300 block of Circular Street and first block of Tiffin Street Friday morning, according to police reports.

Also, an attempted break-in was reported in the first block of Sycamore Street early Friday morning and a first-block Lincoln Road resident reported Friday morning a house window was broken overnight.

A person in the 700 block of South Washington Street reported early Friday morning a cross bow was stolen from a vehicle sometime since Wednesday.
