A Toledo man has been sentenced to a total of 60 months in prison after pleading guilty to numerous charges of forgery and theft.
John T. Boyd, 56, who entered pleas of guilty in Seneca County Common Pleas Court Judge Steve Shuff's courtroom last week, had been indicted on 10 counts of theft and 10 counts of forgery last year. He was served the indictment last month at the State of Indiana Penal Institution.
According to his indictment, Boyd stole computers and forged UPC codes at several Walmarts, including Tiffin's store, in February and March 2010.
According to court documents, Boyd also was ordered to pay a total restitution amount of $7,281 to Findlay, Norwalk, Wapakoneta, Van Wert, Napoleon, Tiffin and Sandusky Walmarts. He was ordered to have no contact with the stores.
