Now through Dec. 6, the city of Clyde is conducting Caring for Clyde Kids, an effort to collect cash and toys for children ages infant-18 living in the Clyde-Green Springs School District. The Clyde Food Pantry is to use the donations to prepare and distribute Christmas boxes for families.
Collection boxes are located at Clyde St. Mary Church, the police station, the city finance office, post office, Croghan Bank and the board of education office. No stuffed toys or garage sale items are to be accepted - only new or gently used, clean toys. Other acceptable items include bath and body products, AA and AAA batteries, makeup, hair care items and Clyde Flier merchandise.
