Tiffin University's next Good Morning World Breakfast lecture series of the season will feature businesswoman and Olympian Barbra Higgins at 8 a.m. Nov. 29 at Camden Falls Conference Center, 2460 S. SR 231.

Breakfast will be served buffet style at 7:30 a.m. Higgis is to present at 8 a.m. The cost to attend is $12.

The inspiration of the Olympic fencer Higgins, originally from Panama, is to leave an impression on the way those who

attend choose to live their lives. Since every decision and every action may push you closer to or further away from your goals, Higgins recognizes that in every moment lies a choice that could potentially change your life.

Higgins is to present "Everything Matters," explaining how to reap the rewards of an inspired new attitude with the way you work, study, or live. Learn the keys to improve your focus, overcome mediocrity, become a stronger leader, and become a more active participant.

Currently living in California, Higgins has achieved success in sports, entertainment and business. She is an internationally acclaimed entrepreneur, attorney and CEO, CFO and president for corporations and community organizations including VenMundi Inc., an Internet entertainment hub.

Formerly with the CPA firm of Price Waterhouse, now PWC, Higgins served as a presidential appointee to the Small Business Administration National Advisory Council, is vice president and CFO of the Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame, executive board member of the Northern California Olympians Alumni Association, athletics advisory board member Academy of Art University and CFO of Monterey Horse Park.

The message students and community members should take away is that one does not have to focus on one thing and one can be successful in neumours things, Ron Schumacher vice president of Development and Public Affairs at Tiffin University said.

Higgins has a law degree from the University of Miami and a BBA in accounting from Florida International University.

She has over 30 years of experience starting, operating and occasionally selling small businesses. Higgins competed in the 1984 Olympic Games and speaks fluent Spanish.
