Thelma J. Cogar, 82, of Fremont, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 16, 1930, in Tiffin, to Fred and Mabel (Hoffman) Woessner. Thelma married Ralph Cogar on March 27, 1948, in Covington, Ky., and he preceded her in death June 16, 2008.
Thelma is survived by her children, Nancy (Dallas) Patrick of Tiffin and Shirley (Lupe) Moreno, Randy (Jeanie) Cogar and Allison (Lonnie) Fields, all of Fremont; her sibling, Bertha Feasel of Tiffin; 19 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph Cogar; children, Elaine Bailey, Janet Fisher and Michael Cogar; three brothers, Louis W., Robert W., and Jack W. Woessner; and three sisters, Ethel Campbell, Alice Smith and Eva Fox.
She was an I.M.O. operator at Woodel's and retired in 1989 after many years of service. Thelma was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She loved her family and enjoyed bowling, eating at Denny's, watching soap operas, and was an avid NASCAR fan.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont. Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at the funeral home, with Pastor Dan Duffy officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde.
