A Tiffin man recently found guilty of having sexual contact with a minor has been sentenced to five years in prison.
Aaron D. Hoffman, 47, who was found guilty by a jury in September of sexual battery and unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, both third-degree felonies, was sentenced last week in Seneca County Common Pleas Court Judge Michael Kelbley's courtroom, according to documents.
Hoffman had been indicted on the charges in April after police learned sexual activity occurred between him and a 15-year-old girl between March 2009 and February 2010.

Mandatory five years post-release control also was ordered last week for Hoffman. He also must register as a Tier III sex
offender.
