The Seneca County commissioners received three bids for the county's raised pavement markers at a meeting Thursday morning.
The bids came from Eaton Construction Co., which bid $55,147.80; A & A Safety Inc., which bid $51,420.30; and American Highway Safety, which bid $51,288.
No representatives from the three companies were present at the meeting. The bids will be at the engineers office for public viewing, Commissioner Ben Nutter said.
The board approved a resolution of support approving, as submitted, the final copy of the Local Government Innovation Fund "Roadmap of IT solutions" study.
The board also approved a resolution of support approving and authorizing Seneca County to participate in an application for an LGIF loan through the state for information technology consolidation.
Commissioner Jeff Wagner said he went to Columbus Wednesday to speak to the State Senate about a ditch hearing deal. He said the state was becoming more receptive.
County Administrator Stacy Wilson said the new maintenance employee, Brian Beaston, has been doing pretty well in his first few days of work.

An appropriation adjustment of $7,150 within the General Fund.
A supplemental decrease of $13,969.93 to the appropriation for the Sheriff Highway Safety Grant Fund.
An appropriation adjustment of $2,405 to be made to the Recovery Law Assistance Fund.
A supplemental decrease to the appropriation of $23,428.05 for the Rural Law Enforcement Assistant Fund.
An appropriation adjustment of $1,000 within the General Fund.
An appropriation adjustment of $2,000 within the General Fund.
A fund transfer of $31,096.44 to be made to Pavement Resurfacing Project.
A decrease of $313,009.35 to the appropriation to the TR 17 Bridge Rehabilitation Fund for 2012.
A fund transfer of $13,509.99 to TR 17 Bridge Rehabilitation Project.
An appropriation adjustment of $5,000 within the Maintenance and Repair Fund.
A supplemental Appropriation of $7,999.53 within the Highway Safety Grant Fund for 2012.
A resolution hiring Brian Beaston as a maintenance worker for the Seneca County Maintenance Department, retroactive to Tuesday.
A resolution authorizing an amendment to the Health Savings Account employee contribution policy for the Seneca County Government Health Insurance Plan effective Jan. 1, 2013.
A resolution authorizing a contract service agreement with A and D Excavating, LLC for the Schalk, Kinn and Swartz properties for the Ohio Water Pollution Control Loan Fund-HSTS program.
A resolution authorizing the Seneca County Board of Commissioners to enter into a contract with Newcome Concrete Services, Inc., for the New Riegel Sidewalk Improvement Project, to be paid with Community Development Block Grant FY 2010 funds.
