Program to detail benefits for veterans

November 14, 2012
The Advertiser-Tribune

CAREY - Veterans benefits are to be the topic of the American Red Cross of Hancock, Fostoria/Seneca and Wyandot Armed Forces Family Network program at 6 p.m. Thursday at Moreno's restaurant, 109 W. Findlay St., Carey.

Red Cross volunteer Nichole Coleman is to be the guest speaker and facilitator for the program.

"There are so many benefits available that it's important for us to do presentations in the community to make sure that everyone is aware of what the VA has to offer," Coleman said. "These monthly meetings are also a great way for service members and military families to meet one another and build another support system."

The Red Cross Armed Forces Family Network is a free program for service members, military families and veterans in Hancock, Seneca and Wyandot counties.

Programs are conducted the third Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. The location is to be announced prior to each meeting. Free child care is available.
