Martha "Marti" Ann Shank, 54, of Charlotte, Tenn., and formerly Tiffin, died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at her residence.
Marti was born Oct. 11, 1958, in Tiffin, to Milton A. and Lena M. Shank.
Marti is survived by her mother; three daughters, Tonya R. Hawley of Sycamore, Deborah L. Hawley of Crossville, Tenn., and JoAnne P. Pugh of Charlotte, Tenn.; four grandchildren, F. Drew Hawley, Lily Sherrill, Catie Brooks and Lena Pugh; a sister, Pamela R. (James Turner) of Ada; two brothers, Jeffrey L. Roush of Dyersburg, Tenn., and Lenny M. (Marlene) Shank of Ocala, Fla.; eight nieces and nephews, Lisa Kahn (Philip) Allen of Naples, Fla., Jennifer L. (Chad) Doll of Findlay, Jeffrey L. Smith of Lakeview, Allyson R. and Olivia L. Roush, both of Dyersburg, Tenn., and Jeremy Shank and Liz and Evelyn McMurrer, all of Ocala, Fla.
Marti was a 1976 graduate of Seneca East High School, Attica, and a 1978 graduate of what is now the Tiffin Academy of Hair Design. She was an inside sales purchaser at Dale Supply Company, Nashville. Marti resided in Charlotte, Tenn., with her fiance, George Wilkerson and his son, Aaron, who is a United States Marine currently stationed in Okinawa, Japan. She enjoyed being with family, relaxing outdoors, BBQ, gardening and riding her motorcycle.
A memorial service for Marti will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at Engle-Shook Funeral Home and Crematory, Tiffin with the Rev. Douglas De Voss officiating. There will be no visitation or burial at this time.
