Thomas A. Kramer

Thomas A. Kramer, 81, of New Riegel, died at 9:40 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at his residence.

Thomas was born March 20, 1931, in Seneca County, to Charles and Christine (Gerber) Kramer. He married Louise Clara Welly Nov. 28, 1959, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, New Riegel, and she died March 12, 2012.

He is survived by three sons, the Rev. Scott Kramer, C.P.P.S. of Sorrowful Mother Shrine, Bellevue, and Timothy Kramer and Matthew (Amy) Kramer, both of New Riegel; two grandchildren, Kimberly and Mitchell Kramer; three sisters, Alice Engle of Nanuet, N.Y., Joan Stransky of Dear Park, Texas, and Stephanie Rodrigues of Houston, Texas.

He also was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Mary Miller, Stella Carver, Doris Roepke and Lois Baltz; and a brother, Frederic Kramer.

Thomas was a 1949 Scipio-Republic High School graduate. He served in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War. He worked for Focht Brothers Constructions and for New Riegel Local Schools. He was a member of All Saints Parish, New Riegel, the Knights of Columbus and New Riegel American Legion No. 354.

Family and friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, OH 44883, (419) 447-3113.

Prayers will be said at 10:15 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, followed by the Mass at 11 a.m. at All Saints Parish, New Riegel, officiated by his son, the Rev. Scott Kramer. Burial is immediately following at St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery, New Riegel. The New Riegel American Legion will perform military rites at the grave site.

Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice Care in care of the funeral home.
