Christopher R. Corthell

Christopher Robert Corthell, 43, of Bowling Green, died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, in Fremont.

He was born May 25, 1969, in Fremont, to Robert "Barney" C. and Mary Lou (Depinet) Corthell. He was a 1987 graduate of Fremont Ross High School and received a bachelor of arts degree in finance and marketing from Miami University of Ohio in 1991. Chris married Mary A. Davenport Nov. 22, 2003, in Port Canaveral, Fla., and she survives.

Chris worked as a para-planner for Ameriprise Financial, Bowling, Green. He was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, Bowling Green. Chris was an avid OSU fan. He enjoyed traveling, exercising, swimming and spending time with his children. Chris had a very special bond with his grandmother, Dolores.

Chris is survived by his wife, Mary A. Davenport-Corthell of Bowling Green; two children, Charles "Charlie" Corthell of Fremont and Kennedi Corthell of Bowling Green; parents, Robert "Barney" C. and Mary Lou Corthell of Fremont; sister, Connie (Jeff) Sessler of Fremont; niece and nephew, Kristin and Jordan Sessler; father-in-law, Randy (Theresa) Davenport of Green Springs; and brother-in-law, Kevin (Christie) Davenport of Berea.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dolores and Cletus Depinet and Robert M. and Dorothy Corthell.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, with a vigil at 7:30 p.m., at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St., Fremont.

His Mass of Christian burial will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 550 Smith Road, Fremont, with visitation from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Father Kenneth Lill and Father Mark Davis will officiate.

Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, at St. Joseph Cemetery, Fremont.

Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Church, 550 Smith Road, Fremont; St. Aloysius Church, 150 S. Enterprise St., Bowling Green, OH 43402; or Bishop Hoffman Catholic Schools-St. Joseph High School Campus.
