OLD FORT - At the monthly school board meeting Monday, Old Fort School superintendent Jude Meyers announced the school has been awarded a certificate of recognition from the Ohio House of Representatives for earning an excellent rating on the 2011-2012 Ohio Department of Education Report Card.
Elementary Principal Kendra Nelson announced a combination PTO meeting and open house for Nov. 13. There will be a 20-minute social session before the regular meeting.
She also informed the board a radiator burned out in the elementary school last week, causing students to spend some time in the commons while the air was cleared of the smell and fumes.
