Vote for Damschroder

October 31, 2012
The Advertiser-Tribune

In the article of 'Questions to the governor' written by Bill Young ( October 14), I found two things troubling.

The first is the statement that House Bill 388, sponsored by Rex Damschroder, did not eliminate "double-dipping" by all public employees. But it does, so that statement is false.

The second is the many questions that you thought Mayor Aaron Montz should have asked the governor. I felt you were questioning the integrity and intelligence of our mayor. Have you met with the mayor and asked him about his questions?

In your job as an educator, did you expect your students to do their homework and research the facts before forming an opinion? This can be accomplished by reading all materials and asking questions of those involved. It seems as if you have done neither of these.

I want a truthful and honest person representing me. I find Mr. Rex Damschroder to be this person.

Having known Rex for 30-plus years, I have seen him in many situations, and he has proven to be a solid, honest friend and public servant.

So, Mr. Young, I must vote for Mr. Rex Damschroder as my representative from the 88th Ohio House District. His dog does not eat the fact sheet!

Paulette Miller,

Tiffin
