BASCOM - Four people were transported to the hospital Saturday after a crash near Kansas. A State Highway Patrol spokesman confirmed early this morning a passenger has died. The person's identity was not available.

Deputy Jeff Smith of Seneca County Sheriff's Office said the rollover crash occurred in Jackson Township. Friends in another vehicle traveling with the vehicle that crashed picked up the crash victims and took them to a house in Bascom, he said.

Sheriff's office personnel then were sent to the house for a medical call early Saturday morning.

Smith said all four people in the Ford full-size truck that crashed were injured. Bascom EMS had two ambulances and New Riegel EMS had one ambulance at the house in Bascom.

Four people were taken to the hospital, and one was taken from Mercy Tiffin Hospital to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo by Life Flight, he said.

The State Highway Patrol spokesman said this morning he was awaiting a toxicology report. No one had been charged.
