Thomas Joseph Arnold, 63, of Durbin Drive, Fremont, died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, at Stein Hospice, Sandusky.

He was born July 29, 1949, in Fremont, to Everett "Joe" J. and Helen (Fisher) Arnold.

He is survived by his mother, Helen Arnold of Fremont; two daughters, Valerie (Roger Eastham) Arnold of Mingo Junction and Veronica (Matt) Cain of Simpsonville, S.C.; two grandchildren; three siblings, Mike (Debbie) Arnold of Clyde and Rick (Jody Coleman) Arnold and Barb (Pat Lynch) Soski, both of Fremont; and former wife, Linda Bell of Fremont.

He was preceded in death by his father.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1969-1971 and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, two Army Commendation Medals, Combat Infantry Badge and M14 Sharpshooter Medal.

Visitation is 1-3 p.m., with his memorial service beginning at 3 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 27, at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St., Fremont.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.
