A fire that damaged a trailer at Nye's Trailer Park in Fostoria has been ruled as incendiary.
According to a release from the Fostoria Fire Division, the fire, reported at lot 138 at 1521 N. Countyline St., Tuesday evening, is under investigation by the Fostoria Police Department.
The residents were a mother and three children, ages 2, 4 and 9, according to a news release from the American Red Cross. The family was not home at the time of the fire, but the family's dog died from injuries sustained during the blaze.
According to a release, the Red Cross responded to the home just after 9:30 p.m. Tuesday and provided assistance for food, clothing, shoes and seasonal jackets and personal comfort kits with hygiene items for the family and stuffed animals for the children. The family is staying with relatives.
