MOHAWK - The Mohawk Junior High has elected student council members for the seventh and eighth grade classes.
The students spent a week campaigning, making posters to hang around the school and handing out buttons for their fellow supporters to wear.
Students then gave a speech at the end of the week to the entire student body. Then students were able to vote by secret ballot.
The adviser of the student council is junior high teacher Shelly Coffman.
The winners of the election were Chet Margraf, president; Chelsey Trusty, vice president; Amanda Wildman, secretary; and David Dietrich, treasurer.
