George Blankenship, 57, of Clyde, died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2012, at his residence.
He was born April 13, 1955, to Artemis Blankenship and Patricia (Hurley) Blankenship. He married Kathleen (King) Blankenship June 4, 1974, in Clyde, and she survives in Clyde.
Other survivors include his mother, Patricia of Clyde; a son, Victor A. (Tamara) Blankenship of Tiffin; a daughter, Catrina (Eric) Galligan of New York; four grandchildren; one great-grandson; six brothers, Delbert and Sanford, both of Clyde, Martin (Bobbi) of Green Springs and Fonso, David and Michael (Farrah) Blankenship, all of Clyde; a sister, Linda (Joseph) Friend of Clyde; and a nephew, Tyler Friend of Clyde.
In addition to his father, a great-grandson and a nephew preceded him in death.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, at Foos Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 E. McPherson, Clyde.
His funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with visitation two hours prior. Burial will follow at McPherson Cemetery, Clyde.
