Marthe Barth and Andrew Hjortshoj were united in marriage at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012, at New Life Christian Church in Morton, Ill. The Rev. Daniel Moyer was officiant during the double-ring ceremony. A reception followed at Countryside banquet facility, Washington, Ill.
Marthe is the daughter of Timothy and Cynthia Barth of Tiffin.
Andrew is the son of Chad and Brenda Hjortshoj of Hanna City, Ill.

Marthe, given in marriage by her parents, wore a white satin, A-line gown with cap sleeves, a chapel-length train and a chiffon split overlay featuring metallic beading. She wore a mid-length veil with beading and carried a bouquet of yellow gerbera daisies, yellow roses and white stephanotis accented with rhinestone pins.
Michelle Lewis of Mission Viejo, Calif., was her best friend's maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Gretchen Moyer of Pittsburgh, Heidi Clemens of Willoughby and Liesl Barth of Columbus, sisters of the bride, and Stephanie Hjortshoj of Hanna City, Ill., sister of the groom. They wore long, black cotton sateen dresses with spaghetti straps and pockets and carried bouquets of yellow gerbera daisies.
Joseph Ward of Lincoln, Ill., was his best friend's best man. Groomsmen were Roger Johnston of Glasford, Ill., and Dave Harris and Zac Doscher, both of Lincoln, Ill., friends of the groom.
Flower girls were Lydia Moyer and Elizabeth Clemens, nieces of the bride. Ring bearer was Simon Moyer, nephew of the bride.
Marthe is a 2007 graduate of Columbian High School and a 2011 graduate of Lincoln (Ill.) Christian University. She is a Christian preschool teacher.
Andrew is a 2009 graduate of Illini Bluffs High School in Glasford, Ill. He attends Lincoln Christian University and plans to graduate in 2014.
Marthe's mother and sisters hosted a bridal shower May 26, 2012, and the rehearsal dinner took place at New Life Christian Church in Morton, Ill.
The newlyweds reside at 452 Thompson Drive, Lincoln, IL 62656.
