A Clyde man was seriously injured and transported by Life Flight to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center after a single-vehicle accident early Friday morning in Sandusky County.
Mark B. Hickman, 31, had been traveling northbound on Tiffin Road near CR 201 in Ballville Township when he drove off the right side of the roadway, re-entered the roadway and lost control before traveling off the right side of the roadway again, according to a release from the State Highway Patrol.
His 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis then struck a ditch and a utility pole before overturning and coming to rest in a field.
Hickman was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident and alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash, the release states.
A spokeswoman from St. Vincent's said Friday evening Hickman was in serious condition.
