Woman faces charge of felony assault

A Tiffin woman was arrested and charged with felonious assault after she allegedly ran over her boyfriend with a mini-van Friday afternoon.

Sharon K. Matthews, 35, and her boyfriend, Robert Norville Jr., 36, were at Rosier's Deli Mart, 1428 S. SR 53, when the pair got into an argument and Matthews allegedly backed over Norville in the parking lot, Seneca County Sheriff's Deputy Mark Lawson said.

According to reports from the sheriff's office, a caller had reported the incident around 1:30 p.m.

Norville, who suffered injuries to his right knee, calf, wrist and forearm, was taken to Mercy Tiffin Hospital by a family member, Lawson said.

Matthews is being held at Seneca County Jail without bond.
