The Fremont post of State Highway Patrol is investigating a single-vehicle accident that occurred on Tiffin Road in Sandusky County's Ballville Township early this morning.
Mark B. Hickman, 31, of Clyde, was transported by Life Flight to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, according to a release from State Highway Patrol.
He was driving a 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis northbound on Tiffin Road and drove off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle re-entered the roadway, went off the right side of the roadway again, struck a ditch and utility pole, overturned and came to rest in a field, it states.
Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash, according to the release.
