BETTSVILLE - Bettsville Board of Education approved the appointment of Robert McDole Thursday night as fifth seated board member, with a term to expire Dec. 31, 2013.
Treasurer Roger Luhring's financial reports were approved for September, including general fund, payroll and athletic fund reconciliations.
A five-year forecast for fiscal years 2013-17 was approved. Budget commission amounts, rates and tax levies were certified and sent to the Seneca County auditor.

Fall Festival Parade is to step off from Bettsville firehouse at 6 p.m. Oct. 26.
A Caribbean cruise for the senior class was approved for March 16-23, 2013.
The next board meeting is scheduled for 5 p.m. Nov. 8.
