Tiffin reports

Bryan C. Martinez, 40, of Tiffin, was charged with a protection order violation for an incident Aug. 1.

Gina L. Shiley, 41, of Tiffin, was charged with theft for an incident Sept. 15.

A woman went to the station Tuesday afternoon to report a cell phone was stolen out of a car that was parked in a garage in the 600 block of East Market Street.

Scott E. Nye, 34, of Tiffin, was charged with criminal trespass and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle Tuesday.

The theft of a wallet was reported Tuesday evening in the 200 block of North Washington Street. An item and a license were returned to the owner.

Lance K. Mitchell, 23, of Findlay, was charged with possession of marijuana Tuesday.

A 100-block South Monroe Street woman reported Tuesday night a neighbor had been stealing her light bulbs.

A 200-block West Perry Street caller reported early Wednesday morning people were breaking into cars. The caller reported the people ran away.

A caller from Tiffin University reported early Wednesday morning a staff member caught a man breaking into a car behind a dormitory in the 100 block of Miami Street.

A 500-block Hedges Street woman reported early Wednesday morning someone turned her door handle and a security light was activated. Police were unable to locate anyone in the area.

A trailer in the 100 block of Thomas Street was reported entered Wednesday morning. Tools were taken.

A vehicle in the 200 block of West Market Street was reported entered Wednesday morning.

County reports

A 2000-block North TR 69 caller reported Tuesday afternoon outbuildings had been entered.

Michael C. Nims, 30, of Green Springs, was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle Wednesday.

A man reported early Wednesday morning a man he knew pulled a knife on him in a bar on South Broadway Street. The man then ran. Michael L. Abdoo, 31, of Green Springs, was arrested on Baker Street and charged with aggravated menacing.

A 1000-block North SR 53 person went to the station Wednesday morning to report bad checks.

Fostoria reports

Stacey Alaniz, 26, of Fremont, was cited with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, violating traffic lanes and parking on a public highway early Sunday morning.

A residence in the 400 block of Beech Street was reported broken into Tuesday evening. TVs were taken.

A 100-block East High Street woman reported early Wednesday morning someone was trying to break into her house. Police were unable to locate anyone.

A 400-block North Union Street man reported Wednesday morning his gun was stolen four months ago during a break-in to his garage.

An employee of Rite Aid, 113 N. Countyline St., reported Wednesday morning a juvenile tried to steal a stereo case. The juvenile didn't take it, but ran from the store.
