Tiffin Tomorrow again is to offer a "Soup & Trolley" event Oct. 21 at the Tiffin Train Depot. Downtown eateries are to share their soup recipes for the event.
The restaurants participating are The Viaduct, GW's, The Clover Club, Reino's Pizza & Pasta, Phat Cakes, Surf-n-Turf, Fort Ball Pizza and Tiffin Bake Shop.
People can choose up to three soups to sample in their meal. Serving starts at 11:30 a.m. and continues until the soup runs out. Soup meals are $5, which includes three 4-ounce cups of soup, bread and drink.
Trolley rides are to run on the hour from noon-4 p.m. The trolley follows the original historic trolley route from downtown Tiffin to Greenlawn Cemetery. There, riders will be greeted by historic figures from Tiffin's past. Characters dressed in period attire are to board the trolley and share some interesting contributions that gave each of them a spot in Tiffin's history.
The cost is $5, and seating is limited.
At the depot, guests can listen to music, sip hot cider and purchase chances on raffle items.
New this year, in preparation for the anniversary of the 1913 flood, Lisa Swickard is to give walking tours of the Frost Parkway area, and Glass City Pedicab Co. is to give rides along Frost Parkway.
