An accident in Erie County Tuesday afternoon seriously injured a Tiffin woman and killed a Mansfield man.

According to a release from the State Highway Patrol, Robin Reaves, 40, of Tiffin, was taken by Life Flight to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center after her 2002 Subaru Outback struck a 1999 Ford Explorer that failed to yield at a stop sign at the intersection of SR 4 and Strecker Road just after 12:30 p.m.

Reaves had been traveling northbound on SR 4 when the westbound Ford Explorer, driven by John M. Klish, 88, of Mansfield, failed to yield at a stop sign on Strecker Road.

Klish was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the release. A condition for Reaves was not available Tuesday evening.

According to the release, both drivers had been wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
