Harold B. ‘Butch’ Gilliland Sr.

Harold B. "Butch" Gilliland Sr., 64, of Sycamore, passed away at 1:50 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, at his home surrounded by his family.

Mr. Gilliland was born Nov. 22, 1947, to the late Franklin and Sally (Hahn) Gilliland. He first married Virginia Rose and she preceded him in death. He later married Sandra Oakleaf, and she survives in Sycamore.

Other survivors include two daughters, Malinda Gilliland and Mary Jane Gilliland; two sons, Franklin Gilliland and Harold B. "Howie" (Melody) Gilliland Jr.; two stepsons, Dale Daugherty and Dean Rose; two stepdaughters, Billie Witchie and Wendy Fox; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mr. Gilliland worked for Jury Construction, Nevada, for several years and was a member of Sons of American Legion Sycamore Post No. 250.

It was Harold's wishes to be cremated and have a private memorial service at a later date. Engle-Shook Funeral Home and Crematory, Tiffin, is assisting the family with arrangements.
