Robert G. Feisel, 85, of Fostoria, died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, at Independence House, Fostoria.
He was born April 1, 1927, in Fostoria, to Mason and Juanita (England) Feisel. He married Sue Stamper, and she preceded him in death. He then married Ruth Bare March 30, 1968, at Hope Lutheran Church, Fostoria, and she survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Wayne (Kathy) Feisel of Cedar Hill, Texas, and Dr. Gary (Paula) Feisel of Dallas, Texas; two daughters, Lin (Robert) Thiry of Harrisonville, Mo., and Leah Feisel of Fostoria; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He also was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Sheila Bailey; a granddaughter; two brothers, Mason and Jack Feisel; and one sister, Margery Marshall.
He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran, serving aboard the cargo ship Saratoga in the South Pacific.
A memorial visitation is 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, at Luther Center of Hope Lutheran Church, Fostoria.
His memorial service is 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with a half hour of visiting prior. The Rev. Larry Knigga is presiding.
Private graveside services with military honors will take place at Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria.
