Arnetta M. Wonderly, 68, of Fostoria, passed away unexpectedly at 5:39 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, at St. Luke's Hospital, Maumee.
She was born Feb. 1, 1944, in Fostoria, to David Franklin and Dorothy A. (Walters) Koons. She married Herman C. Wonderly July 6, 1963, at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, and he survives in Fostoria.
Also surviving are three daughters, Angela (Patrick) Noel, Catherine (Kevin) Sampson and Monica (Ron) Radcliff, all of Fostoria; two grandsons, Ben and Michael Noel; and a sister, Shirley K. Hensley of Fostoria.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Norman F. Koons.
Arnetta was a homemaker and had worked at the former ExCello, Fotomat and Kmart, Fostoria, Grabler Mfg., Tiffin, and Molton, Findlay. She was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church and a 1962 graduate of Fostoria High School, recently celebrating a 50-year reunion.
She dearly loved her family, and especially spending time with her grandsons. She will be fondly remembered for her great cooking, baking and making her cut-out sugar cookies - they were the best. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards with friends, decorating, mowing and landscaping her home. She will be greatly missed.
Visitation is 2-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, at Hoening Funeral Home, 242 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, where a Christian wake service will be at 4:45 p.m.
Her Mass of Christian burial is 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 8, at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, where a rosary will be prayed at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Wendelin Catholic Cemetery, Fostoria.
Memorials are suggested to St. Wendelin School, American Diabetes Association or a charity of the donor's choice.
