Elliot Bradley Frey, 16, of Upper Sandusky, died at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at Wyandot Memorial Hospital emergency room, Upper Sandusky.
Elliot was born June 18, 1996, in Marion, to Bradley J. and Susy (Shumaker) Frey, both of whom survive in Upper Sandusky.
Elliot also is survived by two sisters, Annalee C. Frey and Chelsea R. Frey, both of Upper Sandusky; maternal grandmother, Jean Ann Shumaker of Upper Sandusky; paternal grandparents, Cyril and Judy Frey of Upper Sandusky; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, William Shumaker.
Elliot was a fighter his whole life. At six months of age he was a liver transplant recipient and since then he had many setbacks and struggles. But, through all his adversities, he always came through with a smile and a positive attitude.
Elliot was a sophomore at Upper Sandusky High School where he was a member of the FFA and Art Club. In earlier years, he played minor league baseball and youth soccer in Upper Sandusky. Elliot was employed at Ralls Soft Touch Auto Spa. For hobbies, Elliot loved monster trucks, "Trucks Gone Wild," four wheeling, bow hunting, fishing and combining with family. Elliot was a Cincinnati Bengals fanatic! Elliot was a stranger to no one and friend to all.
His Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at Transfiguration of the Lord Catholic Church, Upper Sandusky, with the Rev. John Stowe, OFM Conv officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Salem Township.
Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, with a scripture service at 1:30 p.m., at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home, Upper Sandusky.
