A barn fire early Thursday morning on North SR 101 caused between $20,000 and $30,000 in damage, a firefighter said.
The fire, reported at 7461 N. SR 101 around 4 a.m., ignited in a medium-sized barn containing tools and furniture, and caused extensive damage, Green Springs Fire Chief Greg Lowe said.
The owners of the barn had been alerted of the fire by a passer-by who stopped and blew their vehicle horn, Lowe said.
"When we were headed there, we could see the glow in the sky," he said.
The cause of the fire remains undetermined. No injuries were reported, Lowe said.
