Prep Roundup: TC soccer throttles Sandusky

Morton Mogelmose and Garrett Bean each scored two goals and Alec Demith had a pair of assists Thursday in Columbian's 7-1 manhandling of Sandusky.

Nathaniel Gilmer put the Tornadoes (5-8) on the board in the game's second minute, but Evan McGory knotted the score for the Blue Streaks (1-10) six minutes later.

Spencer Pauley put TC up for good in the 20th minute and the Tornadoes rolled from there.

John Obringer also scored a goal for Columbian, and Mike Brady had an assist.

Jeremy White stopped 17 shots for Sandusky, which was out-shot 28-6. Josh Gibson had two saves for TC and John Funk had one.

Rams ride early lead

RAWSON - Upper Sandusky scored all of its goals in the first half Thursday in a 3-1 win over Cory-Rawson.

Taylor Emerick booted in two goals for the Rams (10-4) and Shin Nagahama had the other.

The Hornets (4-8-2) scored on a Jason Sands' goal in the second half.

William Amert registered nine saves for Upper Sandusky, and Ryan Egts had 12 for Cory-Rawson.

Rams rally in five-set win

UPPER SANDUSKY - Upper Sandusky rallied from a 12-9 deficit in the fifth game to claim a back-and-forth 25-18, 23-25, 25-17, 22-25, 15-13 North Central Conference volleyball victory Thursday.

Allison Snyder's 43 assists and 11 digs sparked the Rams (15-3, 9-2 NCC), and Taylor Graboski turned in 23 kills, 10 digs and five blocks.

Jessi Holly added 12 kills, four aces and 19 digs, Kalene Johnson hammered 10 kills and Jenna Holly had 20 digs and five aces. Madison Bianchi (11) and Ceidyer Niederkohr (10) combined for 21 kills.
