Helen M. Painter, 93, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., and formerly of Tiffin, died Sunday, July 15, 2012, at her residence.
She was born Feb. 20, 1919, in Seneca County, to John and Augusta (Souder) Ward. She married Howard E. Painter Jan. 23, 1938, in Fostoria, and he died in 1978.
Survivors include a son, Duane (Nanjean) Painter of Chicago; two daughters, Helen Ann Barbour and Rosanne (Jim) Painter-Mass, both of Fort Walton Beach; three grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-great-granchildren; and a brother, Kent Ward of Tiffin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Dennis Painter; three sisters; and a brother.
Graveside services are 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at Greelawn Cemetery, Tiffin, with the Rev. Terry Steinhauer officiating. A Celebration of Life will follow at 2 p.m. at Hopewell Church of God, 3542 W. CR 48, Tiffin.
